The first time that I decided to take a really good look at Philadelphia public schools as a possible option for my family, I knew of exactly two parents that had given it a try. One pulled her child out of school midway through the year. The other was enthusiastically supportive. I was conflicted and I didn't know where to go to find out the real scoop.

This blog is the real scoop from my perspective.

Here's what you need to know about me: I'm a working mom. I love the City of Philadelphia and I want to raise my children here. I attended public school as a child, as did my husband.

As for the rest? Use your imagination.
